What song are you listening to right now?

And again...this is a B-side from a 7" that Team Love sent me when I bought Bottoms of Barrels:

Love the Earthbound soundtrack! I think I've also listened to soothing parts of it before going to bed.

Did you know that the composer of the Earthbound soundtrack has also composed some movie and tv soundtracks and acted in some as well?

Keiichi Suzuki - IMDb
No, I wasn't aware of that - thanks for the info :) I like the quirkiness of the Earthbound soundtrack.

I actually like quite a lot of classic video game soundtracks, like super mario and final fantasy. Yesterday I actually had this on as background music for cleaning up and re-stringing one of my guitars (yes, i did have it on for the whole 30 minutes lol):

I dunno why, I just like working to video game music.

Katy Perry - Double Rainbow

PS, I think that we need to lable our videos now as Youtube has removed the names of the videos when posting on other sites

I was doing that for a long time and then got lazy. YouTube seems rather inconsistent when it comes to displaying titles.

It may have to do with where you are in the world. I live in the US and I've never seen YouTube do that here, but you live in the UK and the copyright Nazis have been getting their claws in there pretty badly of late, so that might have something to do with it. Just a theory.

Franz Schubert's string quintet in C. Every time I put on Schubert I find myself thinking, "Man, I really need more Schubert in my life." I do.

This is what I'm seeing 99% of the time

Bach's orchestral suites...all of them, actually...in a very impressive recording by Ensemble Sonnerie. An oboist did some "reconstructions" of a couple of them, as (apparently) some of them were originally written for oboe, and then transcribed for flute and the originals were lost. Apparently that happened with a lot of stuff...I know there are a bunch of other works of Bach that have also been "reconstructed" for oboe, or oboe d'amore...I'm not quite sure what all kinds of research goes on with that sort of thing, but it's pretty cool.

Artist: All Time Low Song: Time-Bomb

I've been listening to this song like crazy lately. I absolutely love it.

The Defiled - Sleeper. A UK band playing what can only be described as Industrial Metalcore. It's like Fear Factory / Misery Loves Co have been listening to too much Killswitch Engage.. and they are bloody great!

I can't pretend I've always been a particularly big fan of Bruce Springsteen, but I have seen my respect for him grow over the years. And this song? Pure, unadulterated FUN. Dig it.

(Plus, I'm sure we've all known some precocious, trouble-making toddlers who we don't doubt could well end up much like this song's protagonist.)
