What song are you listening to right now?

Hmm, a few days ago came the first panic attack of the year, shortly followed by the first shitstorm of the year, which was quickly overshadowed by the first terrorist attack of the year, but still, personal shitstorm to deal with, which earlier this morning lead to the first (albeit small) temper tantrum/meltdown of the year, so now I'm finally in that strange place where a 'bring it on cause I just don't can't give a damn' mood gets mixed with an almost surreal calmness. Or at least I'll be once I've listened to this a couple times, full blast...

Thanks, dude. There's really no need for concern though; just a regular day here at Gonzerd Manor. Well, maybe not regular, but nothing I'm not used to. Maybe breaking down is an integral part of my MO. And I pretty much danced all through the first week of the year, so there was bound to be some backlash. ;)

A recording I didn't even know existed, a performance of Strauss' Concerto for Oboe and Small Orchestra in D, by one of my favorite oboists, Heinz Holliger. I suppose it's only available on some old out-of-print vinyl pressing, and whoever recorded this was suffering from severe inner groove distortion (man, can I relate!).
