Re: What's the last film you watched?
I thought Mary and Max was a good movie, but I have somewhat mixed feelings about it since I wouldn't want that to be the movie that people learn everything they know about AS/Autism from. I'm a little worried that people might come away from it thinking that things are that grim for everyone on the spectrum. Of course, I tend to think that the best portrayal of AS/Autism on film is in movies with "unofficial" Aspie/Autistic characters.
The last movie I watched was Chaplin's Modern Times on DVD last night. I still love that movie even after several viewings, especially this part:
Mary and Max, well, at least most of it, couldn't watch it entirely. It had a good message... More or less... The movie was exhausting for me, is there any happy movie about Autism, or Autism permanently equals doom? Or maybe I misunderstand something here, maybe it is happy and full of hope, I just don't see it.
