What's the last thing that surprised you?

The fact that the Swiss consume dog meat means that they're deeply a conservative country, they just want to continue cruelty just for a questionable tradition, an ignorant one...

My sister getting a new, interesting, high-paying job. She'll be working for a magazine.

All summer we've been going through a drought, last night I hear some weird noise outside and go look out the window only to find it pouring buckets of rain. It was so glorious.

The last thing that surprised me is that for now, there is a mass transit station 500 or so meters, or rather, around 15 or so minutes by leisurely walk, to my favourite beach :)

I never knew that till I visited the beach and get 'wowed' by the presence of a boxy building with the logo of a mass transit company. :)

The last thing that surprised me was that somebody I had never met before in my life, as far as I know, told me I look like the co-founder of Apple and… that she thinks nerds are hot! (?)

Mmmm, now I wonder...

What surprised me, is my failure to understand why I had my emotions, and only realising it after I yawned.

I slept very little, so I grew increasingly impatient with things. Perhaps I need a sleep!

On a somewhat related note, during a recent HEB * shopping trip, I was kind of surprised to discover that they sell rabbit meat.

Oh, HEB's...wait until you come across the bucket (painted red, and generically labelled) filled with chitterlings.
I can't imagine the day someone tries to lift that thing into a cart, only to drop and splatter it all across the floor...horrible.

I'm curious to know if anyone knows what it's used for, I don't know if I would have guessed. :P

How such a tiny thing can cause such a massive change.
I had previously been using purple as my default setting for the layout of AC, but today I wanted to change to blue for a while and it turns out it's really lovely ; ]

This is why I haven't gone to a non-Woody Allen movie in the theatre since 2009. No one wants to make anything new, it might lose money.

Unfortunately it's a sad truth. This is a long clip, but if you're willing to sit through it, Kevin Spacey discusses the 'problems with the industry', and it's potential to do greater things:

I was surprised to discover that dog meat is widely consumed in Switzerland. I didn't think it would be widely consumed in any first world country.
Considering the high number of dogs "put down" every day in USA shelters, I think it would be less of a waste if we would eat it too.

Yesterday my sister told me that my mother had been out of her Blood Thinner medicine
for the past 2 weeks and hadn't told anyone.
