I'm confused.
In answer to the question in the thread title - count me out!
Aspies are less likely to get into relationships, functional ones anyway. I spent most of my life thinking that I would never get into a relationship, never have children. I certainly didn't want any, and I was actually mightily pissed off when I found out that I was going to be a daddy (I have since warmed to the idea). It was pretty easy to take a look at myself and much of my family, at the genes that I would be passing on, and think "not such a good idea!". So wouldn't natural deselection be the main force at work here?

Like a lot of my topics, the topic title has little to do with the actual topic. I'm just an attention whore.
The point was about natural selection and that if AS was an evolutionary advancement we'd all be sex gods by like the age of 11.
So it just pissed me off there's this AS supremacy ********. It gives people false hope when you tell an innately gullible 10 year old they have the same condition as Einstien when he has an 85% chance, due the condition, of not having a full time job(only 15% have a full time job on the austic spectrum). It's actually ****ing disgusting. You wouldn't tell an NT who's good at football he has the same personality as David Beckham and could be like him. But oh, when you're AS that ****'s cool.
And yes 10 year olds do go on autistic support sites, I've seen and talked to them.
It also has caused an acquired situational narcism epidemic in the autistic support community, so severe for a lot there's no going back now because they're so up them selves they'd crash so hard to acknowledge they are effectively equal to the illogical, stupid, meanie pants NTs, and are indeed, mediocre, not this elitist race ******** then support forums make you think.
Honestly, it's ****ing disgusting. People don't have a ****ing clue what they're doing when they make AS sound like some sort of career opener.
As I said a lot of us can't leave the house and it pisses me off when we're compared to successful people like Mozart- it also makes us look bad and delusional when we go around diagnosing people we like from the past, and then go crazy when someone says Hitler might have had it. 'Did Jesus have AS?'- that was the worst. Honestly? Wtf? We're using secondary, contradicting, 2,000 years old, arabian sources as diagnostic material now? Oh, and to add to that, WE'RE NOT EVEN QUALIFIED TO MAKE AS DIAGNOSES.
It's the same with someone diagnosed with a major depressive disorder diagnosis going around diagnosing people with mdd when in actuality it could be a number of things.
Right now, in the state of the online autistic community, I wouldn't be diagnosing ANYONE with AS incase they start thinking they're superior and catch ASNPD.
