Who likes the rain?

Lately, it's been raining almost non-stop for about a week so far. It has not let up yet. There have only been very brief, yet intermittent periods in which it has let up. Been dark...

I've always enjoyed witnessing the power of nature visible during a heavy thunderstorm. Heavy rain, flash flooding, hail, lightning and thunder. Pretty exciting stuff I think. Though those events tend to occur in the summer months and I despise the thick humidity that tends to follow such.

Those wet, nasty, soggy, drizzling days (or week) that occur, I don't much enjoy. Jacki on one of the pages of this thread said it best. "No spark!" :)

I've loved rain from my early childhood. Here in Scotland it rains fairly often but most of the time its either light or moderate showers. I used to love driving in the rain especially if it was heavy. It was great hearing the wheels swishing through puddles and whooshing along the road. The sound of raindrops on the roof and windows always makes me feel good as well as being good for the garden.

I love driving in the rain!

I am known for my love of the rain. It's the only time I feel connected to or comfortable in my surroundings. The rainier and the darker the better.

I LOVE the rain! I always have. I love overcasts, heavy rain, and storms... I love to sit inside and watch and enjoy it... That's why I love the fall and winter here!

Everyone else in my family hates the rain and prefers sunshine, so they all think I'm weird. Whatever, my friends also like the rain so we can always share our joy when it happens at school, lol.

I'll go out on long walks in the rain, specifically because it's raining.

Well, maybe also to freak people out. I hate how people are so afraid of rain, mainly because society demands that they be.

I also like lightning. And thunder. And wind; oh how I love the wind. The wind is just... I love the wind.

I love everything about the rain. Sometimes I wish that it would rain all the time! My concentration and moods drastically improve during a storm and it makes my life that much more enjoyable and pleasant.

Rain is awesome! I used to live next to a forest and when it rained the pitter-patter of the drops on the leaves was the greatest thing that I've ever heard.
I miss that place.

I love the rain. So much that I can't get to sleep without it these days.

I got a clock radio that has digital ambient sounds I play all night long as I sleep. Rainfall is my favorite.

I love a rainy weekend where I can be inside the house looking out. A heavy snowfall also make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

I love the rain! Always have, ever since I was a kid. I used to go out and run in the rain, or if I couldn't do that, I'd stick my hand out the window so that I could feel it. Rain makes me feel like I'm alive.

I absolutely love the rain and everything about it. I also love the way that the air feels and smells like right before the rain begins. It smells fresh and clean and pure.

When the rain begins to fall, it seems like all is right with the world. Be it a strong storm or a gentle shower, the reassuring sounds of the raindrops on the roof of the house and on the back porch are an amazing, soothing rhythm that's like none other, seemingly cleansing the cares of the world away.

Rain can be very refreshing. I love to stand inside my house and watch the rain & lightning in a storm.
