Workplace Accommodations

When it comes to accommodations, it can be much harder to receive certain accommodations unless they've been attempted to be requested from the beginning of your employment as well.
 
I am diagnosed only with ASD and ADHD but I suspect that I have the contamination and checking subtypes of OCD as well. If not I still do have symptoms that lean that way. Is it possible to get a workplace accommodation for not having to do things like cleaning toilets or scrubbing out trash cans if you have no OCD diagnosis? Also are workplace accommodations supposed to be in writing?
I think you may have accommodations confused with job functions. If a job includes things you can't do, then you can't qualify for the job.
 
No. I mean for example if the job is stocking shelves but the boss decides to have you fill in for maintenance how to keep from losing job because almost all jobs I have been at seem to want you to do maintenance work even though that is not the job title. If it is just sweeping or vacuuming or something like that I just do it and then go wash my hands real well, but things like cleaning bathrooms or scrubbing out the bottom of a trash can I need to not have to do.
