Yep it's happening again and I am freezing 🥶 up.

A world in which women are forced to marry men and have no ability to get a divorce and leave due to laws and societal pressure sounds bad to me. Things may have been better for certain men in that scenario, but it seems obvious that leaving it behind was good.

and if arranged marriage was the norm for most of human civilization history, then i wonder what is the origin behind men having to be the ones to ask the woman out and be the ones to court women, do the pursuing, taking initiative? i'm assuimg that was before civilization.
