Riddles

As usual, I don't have any of my own. Perhaps I should think of riddles when it's not my turn, because my demand avoidance shuts down my brain from thinking when something is expected of me.
 
I prefer to use ink rather than to fight
Yet I never learned to write .
What am I ?
 
I was willing to accept that or a specific well known variety such as octopus or squid.
 
When asking riddles, are they supposed to be our own creations, or is it okay to find them online?
 
At all your family picnics, I find me a spot.
I sound like a relative, but I assure you I'm not.
What am I ?
