  • Ever had this thing where it takes you a while before you're comfortable sharing words with a person you just met?

Yeah. I have that with most every stranger. I typically have little to say. Though there are some rare instances where I have little trouble. But someone I know, who know the stranger, has to be with me, for that to happen.
Ever get annoyed when the people living with you always leave a mess, because they know you'll clean it up?

I've had to do that for a time. When I lived on my own, with a roommate. He did nothing, no matter how many times I asked.

I think there were other sparce instances before that too. It is  very annoying.

I get annoyed when the cats flip over stuff and dump it out.
    A. because of the mess
    B. because I didn't have the stuff arranged so that wouldn't happen

Not always appreciating them pointing out that I could have secured the
stuff better. Not appreciating the resulting *opportunity.*
Ever show affection in an unconventional way?

That doesn't seem like a question I can answer.
First I'd have to have a list of what the "conventional" ways are.

Conversely would that deemed "unconventional" be a synonym for that which might be some violation of law?

Like most of my peers in high school, we always got a chuckle out of school rules and regulations where "public displays of affection" were usually towards the top of the list.
I know Cupid is the symbol of love, but all I could think about is how messed up Cupid is from the myths (plus, he was called Eros to the Greeks).

All of the Greco-Roman "deities" are messed up...
Well, my allergies impaired my voice; I hate when that happens (along with a somewhat impaired sense of smell).
I like dogs, but I shouldn't have to clean up the "items" it leaves around (the dog in question belongs to somebody else; I wish I knew who).

You could always put a sign that tells people to clean up after their dog and that they are on camera... I live in a big city where there are fines for not cleaning up after dogs and see signs everywhere. They seem to help

As a dog owner, it feels so wrong to leave poop in plain sight in public spaces.

When I go to popular dog places and see people do that, I have extra poop bags to give out and say, “Oh, it looks like you need a bag. Here, I have an extra one.”
Which is easier to deal with: cats or dogs?

Cats do seem less demanding. Though they can also be more aloof from humans.

I've had both as pets in the past. Enjoyed them all.

Me and my cat were pretty much always together. People were surprised that a cat could be so "clingy". Cats tend to be more independent than dogs I think, maybe they can be more aloof, but if you want them to be, they can be just as loyal as dogs in my opinion. Thing is, you can't really take your cat with you when you go out, if that's important to you, a dog might be better. Either way pets are wonderful :-)

Ever wondered how common your birthday is?

I've met 3 people in my life that share the same birthday as me - two of them being exactly my age too

I actually have a book someone gave me on my birthday many years ago about all the famous people on earth sharing the same date. I found it amusing.
I wonder if autistics have a stronger inclination towards designs and architecture.

Design would go along with pattern recognition but architecture might be too large scale for many of us though there are probably exceptions.
Anyone else having a hard time finding the right words to say to someone who's depressed?

There's a standard Aussie line - "Toughen up, Princess!". Not always appropriate but surprisingly effective.
How do you cope with being overstimulated?

    Find a quiet, dark place.
    Use my headphones.
Pull my hat over my eyes.
    Stay near my dog.
    Breathe deep and fall asleep.
