  • Whenever I'm in a conversation with other people, I usually get so caught up with trying to listen to what they're saying that I actually forget to actually listen to what they're saying.
    It's pretty amusing when I look at my past grades, and noticed that I did well in certain reoccurring areas but only mediocre in others. Not surprising, they all have something to do with my special interests.
    Ever had those moments when you just got back from the store, and then sometime later something breaks, and you have to go back to the store to replace it?
    I had to buy a new bowl today for lunch because my sister took my favorite bowl to work today. I could've used the other bowls in the cabinet, but I can't stand the color red.
    Does anyone else have to have something in your hands in order to listen better?

    Often, yes. Not always. I fidget with my fingers, with my rings, or use a fidget toy. At a friend's place, I often curl up with a plush animal to sit and talk.
    Ever had the problem where you know you need to get something done, but your brain is doing everything in its power to do literally everything else?
    I wonder sometimes if dating another autistic person is harder or easier than neurotypical people. Dating is confusing in general so...I guess it doesn't matter.

    It will in the end just depend on the person, of course. If you want a relationship to work out - you both will need to work for it, it's all about respecting boundaries and communication.
    It's perfectly normal to wear the same color shirts everyday. That's what Steve Jobs did (I think he was autistic).
    Sometimes, I get so wrapped in a subject that I lose track of time, and sometimes annoy people when I talk about it too much.
    Ever had those moments where you see something that's not on the shelf properly at the store and you just can't help but to put it back in its place?
    Anyone else also have ADHD along with autism? Are they related by any chance?
