Answer a QUESTION with a QUESTION

Could it be relevant that historically there were halfpennies also farthings which were quarter pennies?

The way a tag question is employed really can influence
the response elicited from the other person,
can't it?
 
I suppose that I am understanding your
question, when I ask; Is the response that I apparently attempted to elicit from you obvious, in this case?
