“Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the Weather.”

"Never turn your back on fear. It should always be in front of you, like a thing that might have to be killed."
- Hunter S. Thompson

(I know, Hunter Thompson again, but he's a big inspiration to me and I've memorized a lot of his quotes, ready to be deployed when situations become dire.)

"Just fear me, love me, do as I say … and I will be your slave."
- The Goblin King, Labyrinth

I've long been a fan of quotes that point out the ironies of 'normal' people.

No problem, keep 'em comin'!

Wyv & Penguin, thanks for the quick intro to Frank Zappa. I've never seen anyone conduct like that … he's so offhandedly casual, only using one hand (with a cigarette in the other). He clearly cares nothing for expected conventions, which allows room to create something amazing. I never knew!

I'm more than happy to help spread the word! :-) Unfortunately, he passed away before his time.

I'm sure Penguin and I could wax poetical in perpetuity about our strange and fascinating friend Mr. Zappa. :)

Frank.
