Friend is pressuring me to read a religious book.

That would be great.

Even if nobody else goes.

I wonder if they all had other things to do last week?
Or did they think they already know enough about being health?

Anyway, I hope next week's meeting will be useful to you.
Thanks.

Also sorry for sidetracked this post but to @Markness find something you enjoy and keep at it no matter what people say. Just do it to enjoy it like you play the guitar or build things. Focus on that and don't listen to promises from holy friends saying life will get better if you read a book. If you want to read a book read whatever you want like an animie book as you are in too that.

It has nothing to do with their particular religion. People of all faiths, and even atheists evangelize. They feel their philosophy gives them a worldview and a hope that has transformed their lives. They love you, so they want you to have that same joy.

They just mean well for you.
If only those things were true.

It's good to be informed. But I wouldn't read anything you didn't want to. Like me, I will debate anybody, on anything, anytime. And religion is a big part of people's lives.

Getting pulled into a debate is usually where I get hated on. If folks start wanting to know my questions, they will get them in full. I've had people get really mad at me. They still couldn't answer my questions, though. I feel like I win and lose the debates at the same time.

Fortunately, here on the forum debating religion
isn't allowed. So the problem of win/lose doesn't
come up as often as it might, in what is called
'real life.'
