Is this jazz? Silje is a jazz singer and Norways best selling jazz artist. I just think this sounds a little different from other jazz I hear. But this is Norwegian jazz apparently. In Santa Maria di Castellabate, Italy.

The actual music is indeed, Jazz. I hear some components of jazz in what she is singing, but also think it could be considered a different genre.

Hank Mobley - "Remember"

I got into this one recently after buying a copy years ago. I had Rudy Van Gelder's remaster (linked here), which I never liked. I enjoy his recordings, but the remasters were not so good, to me. I found a flat transfer of this on a streaming service and it really hit me how good this album is. It can be a blissful experience. "Remember" and "Dig Dis" are two of my favorites, but every track is enjoyable. Of course, it's considered a classic.
