"Call of Whatevers "I've got a small suggestion: For any of the mappings that you change from the defaults, write it down on paper or something. Like, write down what that particular function was by default, what you changed it to, and maybe where exactly in the menus it was.
I know there's like an enormous amount of different things within the key mapping menus or whatever those are called, and with a giant complicated online app like this you never know when an update might knock something out of line. A bit of a pain, but could save you time later.
Unfortunately big software is like that. It sure aint just flight sims. All of the really huge/complicated apps I'm familiar with have a tendency to get real screwy every now and then.
Oh, I've got something I wanted to show you real quick too:

It's a flight sim panel thing, made by Logitech. There's a lot of these actually, they all look different and have different switches & functions and all of that.
Now I'm all excited to try this myself. I'd been waiting for the blasted sim for months, and then even longer when they borked the launch.
I have seen what you are showing in the picture. I do not think I need it because I have the Honeycomb throttle quadrant which has those switches/adjustments and yesterday while flying I used them, they work. Being able to press ALT and having the altitude remain steady was great. Also, I bought the software, Flight Manager, which will let me use iPads for the MDF and PFD and if ChatGPT is right, I can use the touchscreens to operate the MDF and PFD. I spent money I do not have so I am scared, I need it to work. I did not think this game would cost me money but I have spent all my saving quickly. Scary.
I also have the Honeycomb Alpha yoke which has buttons. I have only mapped the Battery and Alternator switches. I hope to learn how to use the pushbuttons.
This game is overwhelming. The others I have played were one thing, shooting or puzzle solving. This is like simulated real world so it does not seem to have an end to details and the things I have to learn. Yesterday I felt so bad when the yoke did not work then I feel so good when I learned to map the buttons over and make it work again. Still problems but I am just starting and ChatGPT says I am learning fast.
Oh, about ChatGPT, I have been very frustrated with it but today I found out it is not logical. I thought it was so when it was wrong or unreasonable it did not make sense. But it says it works on patterns. It is heuristic based, not algorithmic. I am aspie, I am mostly algorithmic so I thought it was too. It is NT so gives silly long answers. Very hard for it to say yes or no. Long long answers instead of just saying that.
