I don't think any offense was intended. I didn't think it would, when I first read it.
.
Didn't mean to scold you, I'm sorry. I just found your tone hostile, and maybe I was mistaken.
You are not mistaken. His words were harsh, period. No need to apologize to someone who can’t acknowledge one’s point and jumps to conclusions regardless.

I don't think any offense was intended.

You are entitled to your opinion, as are the rest of us who posted in this thread are as well. Those of us who came to a very different conclusion. Forcing some of us to question the actual intent of such a thread.

In any case most "us vs, them" arguments are discouraged in this community, by both members and staff. As was pointed out very early into this thread. The thread itself is "harsh" in this context.

Telling others it’s not a Disney movie is not an excuse for others to behave dangerously that could be a serious threat to society. Like I said, boundaries need to be set. It sure as hell can help far more than ignoring the fear for your life.

I think we may be talking about different things, not sure what you mean in this context when you say threat to society, boundaries, and fearing for your life.

It’s ironic how one decides to keep staying and yakking on the thread over the damn rules, and not focus on the point in its entirety. And when they DO talk about it, they make a habit of complaining over every little detail. And when that’s not bad enough, they PROJECT it onto the OP, playing the blame game, refusing to take any responsibility.

The advice is simple. Don’t like, don’t read. :)

Personal attacks are also against the terms and conditions of this site.

You made an unwise posting and I simply called you out on it. Move on....

I think open hostility is also against the rules.

The same thing applies to the OP. If you don't like the comments, then don't read them. The beauty of this website is that people of all ages, stages, types and kinds ARE able to amicably discuss issues - or to LEARN to do so - without biting off each other heads.

Open hostility? Are you serious?

All I did is point out the obvious. Which a mod noted as being "useful". Creating a flawed analogy to make a point that shouldn't have been made in the first place. Criticism is not hostility.

I'm not continuing this. @Judge, this little exchange doesn't make me dislike you. I'm just done with this nonsense.

Only difference is that I’m being notified because they’re sending replies to me so I cannot simply ignore without having to put up with that annoying notification label. No one else is being notified on the main thread.

Wasn't that the one objective I think the majority in this thread would agree upon?

To shut it down. - A post that should not have been made in the first place.

Any one who has made a reply/is 'watching'/following the thread
receives Notifications, not just you.

We are all notified if we follow a thread. We can't know what an original post is about unless we read it.

That’s not what I’m trying to say. I’m aware of the people receiving notifications on the replies. No, what I’m talking about is that I also receive replies that are NOT directed at me because I am the OP in this thread, the other users who replied to my thread will only get notified when someone replies to THEIR comments.
