Jury duty thread reminded me of this. Once had a young coworker get called in for jury duty. He was hesitant but I advised him to do his civic duty. He was gone for weeks and weeks. We talked a bit but he couldn't talk about his case. I gave him pep talks to hang on in there and that he's doing this great service, but he seemed really down about it. Because of how long he was gone, I was imagining a big homicide case or something.

Turns out it was some civil case between two businesses over a contract dispute and they spent weeks arguing over what one clause meant.
 
This evening, my daughter and I danced to this song like it was a club mix.
