^ Yes, this is very much how I feel. I could be less diplomatic myself, at times, but our complaints are rarely taken seriously. It feels like if I mess up it's because I'm dumb, if they do it's because they're human.

Diplomacy is underappreciated it seems when it comes to some people. It feels to me that I never want to "put my size thirteens on" with people, but they certainly want to. And I agree, there seems to be a lot of "we are human, you are dumb." nonsense in the world.

But I'm glad this thread has been therapeutic for yourself and hopefully others! We all need places to let off steam

I'm a foreigner living in a foreign land with a slightly different skin colour and face shape, so it's obvious that I'm a foreigner.
One day I went to buy a bus ticket and the guy in the ticket office looked at me and said, "what are you?"
Totally rude. I replied, "I'm a lion. What are you?"
This one is good and got its point across, but better might have been, "I'm a human. What are you?"

So I was in an antique store today and I wanted to see something in a really tight corner but some lady was blocking what I had wanted to see so I moved and looked at another section until she had left. Well I guess she moved for me and while I was going back to that section, a guy moved into where I wanted to go so I was waiting for him until he left and then the woman moved back in. I got back at the same time and she just glared at me and was extremely rude to me and said “Are you f@#ing kidding me? You were just in here! I moved for you!” All I said was “There was a guy who cut in before I got a chance to get back here and I was waiting for him to exit.” And I saw what I wanted to see which was a price tag and she was still rude and said “Well aren’t you going to keep looking? I moved for you.” She was extremely rude and acted like I was some inconvenience for her. What I wanted to say to her is, “Well aren’t we a rude self entitled b****? We aren’t the only two f-ing people in this store you know! So don’t act like I’m some sort of pest because this corner is so small and another person cut in before I got a chance to look in here, lady! And besides this isn’t your store or your booth of things to sell and you have no f-ing right to speak to me that way! You are several years older than me and need to learn some manners! Now I suggest that you get away from me as I cannot tolerate people who are rude to me for absolutely no reason at all and you are the rudest person I’ve come across in this store today!”

This guy comes into work everyday and asks, "you know what...?" It's always something different. I finally just blurted out one of my weird thoughts. Him: You know what? Me: Yes...we go fishing...you know why....he goes, too.
It was great. The guy just shutdown and left the room. If that isn't victory, I'm not sure what is.
