Riddles

I was thinking Exocoetidae - flying fish, but couldn't find the classical link, but I've very weak on the classics.

Okaaaay...
Jet, ocean creature, deeper - I'm inclining towards a Cephalopod of some sort?

Even a Kraken or similar (classics)?

Goddamnit! Nautilus!!!!
Yes, I knew that was too big a clue but a quick game is a good game.

A jet propelled mollusc that lives in the sea.

Ok, gotta hit the shops, so here's something (a bity mediocre) to chew on.

I'm wet through all of the time,
The answer to every question.
I combine with things just fine,
I help with your digestion.
It's the answer to everyone's questions,
It's the chemists favourite tool.
I wait to hear your suggestions,
So you can sound like a fool!

Back inna bit, or someone else throw one in if anything better?

(damn! repeated two lines, sorry, but it only spoils the rhyme not the riddle - ignore line 2)
