The last thing you bought?

I bought a few guitar strings. I bought some Ernie Ball 2008 Earthwood 80/20 Bronze Rock and Blues strings for my main acoustic guitar, they have a great warm, crisp tone. For my Martin backpacker, I got Ernie Ball 2146 Earthwood phosphor bronze medium light strings at my girlfriend's recommendation. I'm quite happy with how they both sound.

A week's worth of Lottery tickets from Sainsbury's in Town, and then 2 coffees from a Pub (cos it was too early for lunch) and then a Cheese and Tomato Pizza and an Orange J2O.

Well technically I paid for this weeks ago and the last thing I "bought" what getting out of motorbike insurance BUT today I received my first Tokyo Treat box.

On the right there is a packet of crisps. Sour plum and sweet seaweed is the favour. Very strange but quite nice, not sure if I could eat the whole packet in one sitting; it's an acquired taste. I also got banana flavoured kitkats and a bottle of white chocolate tea.

Wearable rock art.
A hand wrapped kyanite stone pendant with hematite beads woven in a leather cord necklace.
Found it at an arts and crafts show at Crystal Beach last Saturday. Rocks rock!

£27.50's worth of shopping from Tesco on Sunday, plus £7 worth of Lottery tickets for this week.

And I went on Amazon and preordered the new Star Wars on DVD,

I subjected myself to my bimonthly visit to Walmart for my fair share of abuse. In addition to my usual provisions, I picked up another knee brace. It seems my 57-year-old knees, one of which is missing parts, does not care for Krav Maga. So, rather than succumb to old age and failing parts, I am going to put the brace on the other knee and continue to kick butt.

As for Walmart, it was unusually inundated with the rude and dysfunctional. Hannibal Lecter said it right:

Hey Sportster, My 72 yo knees are making crunching noises which really creeps me out. Apparently one is bone on bone and the other is close to that. Can you let me know if the knee braces work? I asked the ortho doc and he said he didn't think they'd do anything but to try one if I wanted.

try getting a lot more oil into your diet and drink a lot more water it's just crepitus if it doesn't hurt if it does hurt its osteoarthritis and the water will get rid of the uric acid crystals.

wow thanks, Street! It doesn't hurt but I did have a cortisone injection into that knee about 10 days ago. They said I have really bad arthritis in both knees and both hips. Getting old sucks but at least I can walk now I've had both hips injected also. But you're probably quite right that I don't drink enough water so thanks!

Yup you're right about the estrogen- the cancer preventive meds wipe that out. And I only use extra virgin olive oil so that's all good. I'll up my vit C! Thanks so much!

it would rapidly go down anyway after menopause .I went into premature menopause for six months after severe weight loss

A TV Choice magazine and 2 packets of Noodles from Tesco, I was going to buy my nephew and niece 2 kids' magazines for Easter. but £5 each for kids' magazines? What the chuff? I remember when the comics like the Beano and Dandy were like 30p a week.

They're working great for me! Frankly, I don't think I could do Krav Maga without wearing one on my left knee. I've given serious consideration to wearing it daily on my left knee since it is getting bad. I was amazed at how much better my knees felt after I put them on, especially after my class. For the low cost they're worth it. The type I have are like sleeves with a hole for the knee with some sort of support bars up the sides. This is what I bought:

Thanks Sportster! I'll try them!

The last thing i bought was filling up emergency food, as I need something available in case I accidentally miss the special opening hours this week and next.

I have more interestingly bought these books over the last 5 months:
  • Absolute OpenBSD
  • The TCP/IP Guide
  • The Book of PF (Bought but not received. Thanks USPS)
I wish to learn about what they and they are also related to my current assignment at work.
I also bought The Book of XEN at the same time as buying The TCP/IP Guide, but I have to many bad memories of the frustration of understanding that book to list it.
