Whenever a topic related to TV shows up, I feel as if I am trapped in a time trap, existing in two times at once as well as all of the eras in between.

My family bought a 21" RCA television for Christmas of 1951 and I was an instant addict. I mentally devoured everything I was allowed to watch and as a primary focus, I still remember far more than would seem normal to the average person.

I have listed many of the shows I watched growing up in other thread, but my fascination with a certain areas of children's programming has never waned.

The first show I was exposed to, if memory serves, was "Hopalong Cassidy". There was merchandise I remember associated with the show, specifically an AM radio and a lunchbox. There were many other shows of the same era that started merchandising toward kids, given Hoppy's success at it. I remember a Dale Evans outfit: western skirt, blouse, vest, cap pistols and holsters, with a cowgirl hat to top it off. Funny how there were a large number of Western TV shows pitched toward kids in the 50s.

I think that all of that TV in my early years further warped my already autistic brain and that warpage still abides. ;)

;)
I had two Roy Rogers shirts. Loved 'em around the age of five.

Too bad I didn't have one of "El Kabong's" guitars. AKA "Quick Draw McGraw". ;)

As a kid, I watched Clifford The Big Red Dog and still have my collection of it. I have also watched the Movie when it came out,it brought out memories from my childhood.TV shows, they were Home Improvement and a couple more.

I'm in my early 40s but in the 90s, the Simpsons. Incidentally, I am reading about predictions from the show and this latest one

Many of us moved here moved from 3 or 4 channels to more. You came home after school many of us to children's channel on main tv. My younger niece and nephews now use Sky and they have their favourites of course.

Somethings belong mostly in the past. I still have a book on Heidi but it is nostalgia. I don't read it as an adult. I did though buy a tape recorder for nostalgia. It is not on the tv but it is a bit of a comfort at times before going to bed. I have not listened to Heidi much on cassette. I listen to millymollymandy more. I liked it in one tape where she had supper and had a slice of bread and warm mug of milk. It seemed so whole. I got the cassette from Amazon within the last five years. Heidi was mentioned and this is for the Heidi and fans of nostalgia.

I have the boxset of the Grange Hill I grew up with and watched about Zamo and his drug taking the don't listen campaign.

There have been a few more I haven't seen listed I think
Blossom
Clarissa Explains it All

I had more but the names escapes me now. I got my nostalgia dvd's down to basics for me I still buy dvd's as well.

I grew up with quiz shows being on TV. If I was a TV commissioner I wouldn't allow wealthy people to be quiz contestants though

Gladiators with Wolf. Your Saturday evening never felt the same without it. :D

Now of course, I'm into survival horror games, horror movies, WWE, and 80's music.

I always loved the sci-fis where the army had to fight monsters from outer space or giant insects best.

After that my favorites were medieval war films. Knights and Castles, etc.

Seeing you note these they brought back good memories. I remembered my clothing I have got with them. My favourite PPG was Blossom as green is my favourite colour.
