What is your comfort food?

My comfort food is Steak frites. The steak done medium rare with a good char and the shoestring fries done in tallow or Duck fat. They are not a health food so I really do not care for them done in vegetable oil.

A close second is a Chicago Hot Dog dragged through the garden, including the sport peppers.

I haven't had a Chicago dog in ages. Might make some for lunch today!

Why not? Because of what we talked about in my other thread? Don't worry about me. I'm a fluffy grown up husky.
(Seriously though, I appreciate it, but don't worry, I look after myself)
I understand why you took my comment that way.
Here is some insight:

-Yes, I was referring to the thread about weight issues.
-I assumed you could handle the "joke".
-I was correct.

BTW, I did get that chocolate.
Naughty Jonn.
Time to get back on the wagon...again.

My favorite was Superdawg. At Milwaukee and Devon. That is where one can pick up the North Branch Trail to bicycle to the Botanic Gardens. I would always enjoy one of their Chicago Dogs either before or after the bike trip.

Chicken wings are nice. I would like some buffalo chicken wings and some bleu cheese to dip them in. Along with the celery and carrot sticks.

Plant-based burgers. I know that eating 2 is always too much, but they sell 2 buns and 2 patties, so i must make 2 burgers, and burgers are the tastiest when they are hot, so... 😼

@Tired

l love plant burgers, l make a mean plant burger. Also this chain of fast food called Freddie's makes a delicious black bean burger with all the fixings. And it was started by a veteran so l like going there.

Cadbury's chocolate tastes acidic due to Kraft wrecking the classic recipe. So why anybody still thinks their sweets are amazing, I don't get it.

Reminds me of when my mother brought back a huge Cadbury chocolate bar made with Irish cream in Ireland. The best chocolate I ever tasted.

But agreed, it was many years ago, circa 1980. ;)

My go to comfort food is berries. If you need something sweet, they do just fine. And you're getting all the health boosts as well, unlike with the usual choices such as candy, and fatty or highly processed food should be avoided or cut down.

Nachos and other Mexican foods are often my go-to snack, but I also like seafood, pasta, dark chocolate, and the occasional crab rangoons.

Hardy kiwis are a great snack, and they are in M&S. They don't have any hairs on the skin. You can actually eat them whole, so the skin is totally edible and very good for you.

It has to be chocolate for me. Sometimes I eat chocolate ice cream whenever I'm feeling down about something. And I still like getting chocolate candy during a holiday, too.
