In Dog V4's case the magic word is 'Field'. The means ball chasing time.My Yorkie was so smart she knew what a single word was pertaining to "Let's Go For A Walk!"
All I had to do was look her in the eyes and very slowly say....."Well".....

...Other than that one thing, they are one of the breeds of dogs that I recommend to people the most. I have known probably hundreds of them and only encountered one that had any significant temperament issues.

Are you sure that drool wasn't caused by him wanting some of your dinner???? This happens to Dog V4 quite often!
He had actually just been drinking out of his water bowl, lol... I just thought bringing up the topic of Newfs drooling was relevant because of the picture!
He does drool when I'm eating dinner though...
I do a lot of impulse control training with my dogs, to prevent them from doing things like stealing my food or eating things that could be dangerous for them, and I have taught Enzo to stay in a "sit" when there is cheese on the floor... he drools the whole time until I give him his "release" word...
