What is Your Pet Doing Right Now?

Howard is drying off after a spa day and hair cut on the ears and face, rocking his new hairdo for this recent heatwave. For now I will leave the pom pom front legs as they are

So sorry to hear that.🥹
He was a beautiful dog, going by the photo.

This is Miss Rory, she joined our pack today after a meet and greet/home visit on Monday. She is an 8 month old Toy Aussie/Heeler cross who had a rough start in life. Very shy, but a total sweetheart, she is a puppy who requires patience and a dog savvy household.

Her personality it the polar opposite of Rue Dog's, quiet and unsure, she is a bit like an orchid or fussy houseplant, she needs a family who are willing to just putter around with her. Puttering is something we do in spades.

Something that we didn't know at the time of making the decision to adopt Miss Rory was that her adoption fee was completely sponsored.

She is a fantastic little dog who just needs a chance and we have the resources to do so.

Rory, Marlowe, and Potato Cat...It's weird getting used to a household of three under five, and two under two. I've had at least one senior pet for the last fifteen years. Now we have Rory (10 months), Marlowe (18 months), and Potato Cat (5 years).

This is Luke, he is a 5 year old Labrador retriever mix. He’s asleep at the moment and thinks he has such a rough/woof life

Took this today. Momo with her early Christmas present (new bed) and Molly. My Chihuahua mixes Aged 16 and 15.

Luke gave me a “are you kidding me” direct look as It has been raining today. He was not pleased he didn’t get to go to the beach today (live right across the street from the beach within lanes of traffics).

"All bow before me! For I rule this house from my throne!"
"And by the way, bring me a stuffed mouse with a new feathery tail for me to chew and eat!"
"NOW!!!"
"BTW, I prefer the red one's, they taste better!"

"Oh no! He hasn't tidied up, again, I just can't look!"

"OK, you can start shovelling it in now! C'mon, eight meals a day isn't that much y'know!"

December adventures with Marlowe. We got a new indoor agility set and teeter-totter for Christmas, a significant snow storm and our annual Snow Globe walk. Last year we didn't have any snow for Christmas, so Rue Dog, Marlowe, and I walked the neighborhood and continued our tradition of counting nativity scenes, something I started with Rue Dog when we moved several years ago. It is how we learned to navigate our new surroundings. This walk we did in memory of our Rue Dog.

I am sorry that I had missed the news about Rue Dog. He always looked so attentive. Our pets always manage to worm their way into our hearts, don't they?
