What song are you listening to right now?

I get strong 'Batteries Not Included' vibes from this video...
I've seen part of the movie, years ago. Very weird. Reminds me of; Critters. Very 80's. Something to do with aliens. Mental associations. I barely remember anything about it.

Flight of the Navigator, now there's a movie I loved, from the 80's, featuring flying saucers/aliens.

What about Born Mean?

I get Sam Cooke vibes. "A change is gonna come" to be exact. Sounds like they lifted that vocal melody phrasing styling, what ever you wanna call it.

What in the hell ..have I stumbled upon... Youtube autoplay, the gift that keeps on giving.. I say that facetiously...
I just wanted to hear a guitar version of Beetlejuice... o_O

The original has more heart. The Offspring are very slick, but I hear some plagiarism in their other songs. They seem like opportunists. Musically Derivative.

Rick James - Cold Blooded. 1983
This song popped in my head today...It's Like, I guess, when you see something from a woman, and you're like "damn, that's cold blooded, the way you talk, but I have to give it up. Cause It's funny and witty, even when it's a put down. Even if it's cold blooded. I gotta laugh."

This is one of the coolest pieces of music I have ever heard.
She is singing in Faroese, I believe, along with amazing throat singing. Sounds like Inuit throat singing to me.
The drum she's using is a frame drum, sometimes called a rune drum, gievrie, or shaman drum. I have a few of them in my collection and I use them to play traditional European music.
Anyways, this is incredible and definitely worth a listen, although it might not be everyone's cup of tea. But you can appreciate the incredible vocal range and voice control. And the percussion, this is a difficult song to keep rhythm with.

2:00. I get 'Excorcist' vibes...you know, from her voice...Linda Blair....That 'ol possesed by demons thing...Urinary incontinence...Alot of grunting....yeah

Belouis Some - Imagination. 1985
Some serious... ( . Y . ) & (_!_) impressive for an 80's video, during peak of the moral panic....Tipper Gore... Washington D.C....

INXS - Girl On Fire
Nice album cover. Their best. Very aesthetically pleasing. The photography, ya know, the way everything is framed, how it stands out, especially in the middle. What a beauty! :tongueout:

I don't know exactly what the song is about. It's likely a metaphor, about how when a girl starts to feel hot, ya know, all over, and to put out those flames of passion she has to get soaking wet, or something, or maybe it's about an actual girl on fire. As that happens too. Spontaneous Human combustion. A rare phenomenon.
