What song are you listening to right now?

April O'Neil · Tin Woodman

I love Turtles. And Yellow Jumpsuits. And fine ladies with red hairs. Even if she was just a CARTOON! Oh April...

Santana - 1970 - Abraxas
Woodstock. Years ago, I once watched every surviving minute of footage from the thing. It was like 3 days. So that's many hours...many musicians. I do remember "Motherless Child," was the first song played.
And I remember the worst point, was "Sha Na Na", best highlight, Maybe, a late, literally late, Hendrix  showing up on day 3 for a half deserted muddy trashed audience. I don't remember every act. I do remember Santana though. Apparently he ingested large quantity of Lysergic acid before going on stage. I didn't notice anything odd about his performance. The 60's seemed like a great time to be alive.

Poor Karen. I have sympathy for the Karens of the world. Karen...that word :smirk: has really been ruined.

Anorexia Nervosa. There a some neurological studies on that, I read somewhere, there might BE a a connection to autistic brain phenotype.

Nearly made it on Nevermind. Only Nirvana fans, will probably know it.

Woah, I don't think I've heard this before. It''s a really rough demo. But, that, thumbnail....:tearsofjoy: I had to click. On Impulse.

I think its purely women in the west who are poisoned by commerce from one direction and a manipulative mindset that says women should never be assertive then those women spiral further and further down

No doubt. Not being a woman, not being anorexic. I can't really comment on that POV. But yeah..What I read, certain brain types are susceptible, to this propaganda, which overlap with autism. Propaganda, which is yes, western in origin. It's a deep topic. You can go into so many things. I will just say...A certain Greek quote comes to mind, I forget exactly, It might have been Socrates or something about "how man creates the role that woman follow in a culture, and therefore women are innocent in all of this." Which is almost a biblical thing, cause in a sense, it;s saying, "Man creates woman."
You may say, that is all nonsense, that was 2500 years ago...not applicable.

But modern man, 20th century "mad men," executives in Madison avenue, created and perpetuated the image of woman, through advertising, and such, images that woman aspire to, these images are circulated worldwide, generations grow up, bleaching, dieting, liposuction, all kinds of stuff. To "Make up" the difference between their self-image and the ideal-image, they are bombarded with, hence, in some....anorexia develops. It becomes a compulsion. A deadly one. As they waste away into multiple organ failure. Which is exactly what Happened to Karen Carpenter. Only in her case it was the extra added component of fame, and the pressure to maintain her image, in her own mind.
