What song are you listening to right now?

The lyrics in this song I can relate to the most are:

"Can't be too proud and
Can't think I'm pretty
Do they keep me around, so their flaws just seem silly?"

"I've done every diet to make me look thinner
So why do I still feel so goddamn inferior?"

No doubt. Not being a woman, not being anorexic. I can't really comment on that POV. But yeah..What I read, certain brain types are susceptible, to this propaganda, which overlap with autism. Propaganda, which is yes, western in origin. It's a deep topic. You can go into so many things. I will just say...A certain Greek quote comes to mind, I forget exactly, It might have been Socrates or something about "how man creates the role that woman follow in a culture, and therefore women are innocent in all of this." Which is almost a biblical thing, cause in a sense, it;s saying, "Man creates woman."
You may say, that is all nonsense, that was 2500 years ago...not applicable.

But modern man, 20th century "mad men," executives in Madison avenue, created and perpetuated the image of woman, through advertising, and such, images that woman aspire to, these images are circulated worldwide, generations grow up, bleaching, dieting, liposuction, all kinds of stuff. To "Make up" the difference between their self-image and the ideal-image, they are bombarded with, hence, in some....anorexia develops. It becomes a compulsion. A deadly one. As they waste away into multiple organ failure. Which is exactly what Happened to Karen Carpenter. Only in her case it was the extra added component of fame, and the pressure to maintain her image, in her own mind.
From the tvm apparently her mother and the media said she was that vile manipulative word chubby thus the spiral began then after years of damage to her heart she did the dangerous eating too much too quickly called refeeding syndrome

This video for me is a mixture of romance, but !also excruciatingly painful memories of watching and hearing and feeling someone with motor neurone disease(to American members, the disease doesnt just always effect the lower motor neurones, but is inaccurately called A.L.S (which is lower motor neurone disease)in the u.s.a)

Ah the chick from Games of Thrones.....niiice.

The video, reminds me of Christopher Reeve.. Very sad.

I love this song. But it always bugged me, the engineers actually released it, all chopped up, such bad form. A Frankenstein song. That's just...wrong..not right...how the hell...! ! ?! !..good song though. Powerful. But the splice... o_O WhY ? John..wHy? so unprofessional.

Nirvana - Lounge Act

I've never heard that Alex Chilton version, but I like it better than Paul McCartney version.
Of course, taking onto consideration, the well know fact, he had had died a few months earlier, and maybe he's just trying to get the hang of the real Paul's vocal style. That's Faul by the way. It's big cover up, I don't want to go into it. Crime of the century. The greatest Hoax since the moon landing. That's Faul. Faul McCartney. Imposter. Cia Plant. It's been known for years. the clues are everywhere.

Wooah..the demo is even more weirder....I like it. I;m sure I heard it before, But I don't remember it. This is my favorite song for the moment. Until something new pops in my head.
Mumbling disorientated adlib Kurt demo songs (With a hint of intoxication) are the best. Very Creative and spontaneous. Like it's straight out of his subconscious. Lyrics were always last thing to be formulated in Kurts songwriting process. He espoused this in interviews. The importance of arranging the music first.

Okay . I missed it. Somehow. I only listen to regular albums, generally, and some bootlegs. And this escaped me.

Creed - One Last Breath

According to Stapp, the song is about someone crying out for help and realizing the mistakes they've made in their past, as well as being able to lean on one's friends and keeping them close. Stapp also expresses sentiments about how in the minds of "normal, well-adjusted" people, any thoughts of moving beyond this life are not real, and how these surreal thoughts are just flashes-in-the-pan and they would never act upon them.[3]

As with all of Creed's songs, the music was written by guitarist Mark Tremonti. The song is written in the key of D major, with Tremonti playing in standard E tuning and Stapp singing in his traditional baritone with his vocal range spanning from A3-B5.[4][5] Tremonti stated in an interview with Songfacts that the song contains one of his favourite guitar lines and musical compositions that he ever wrote.[6]

"One Last Breath' is one of my favorite guitar lines, so it's one of my favourite musical compositions for Creed. It's a song that turned out to be one of our biggest songs we ever put out. I think it had some of the most views we've ever had on YouTube, so it's a very important one for the Creed camp." — Tremonti

Creed - My Sacrifice

"I just want to say hello agaaaaahhhh..." Guitar Amp feedback fade out..

My Sacrifice" is written in the key of D major, with Tremonti playing in open D5, which he states is his favourite guitar tuning. Stapp sings in his signature baritone vocal style with his vocal range spanning from F#4-F#5.[4][5][6] Stapp stated that the meaning of the song lyrics were about his own personal struggles with battling substance abuse, addiction and alcoholism and failing despite his best efforts, and him coming to terms with his inability to stay on the straight and narrow.[2] Stapp also explains that the song is about coming out of a dark place or period in your life and reconnecting with yourself. He notes several of the songs lyrical themes are represented through elements in the music video. These include a shot of himself in a rowboat where he is seen pulling a drowning version of himself out of the water onto the boat, which represents periods of his life where he would claim sobriety, coming out from the darkness and finding temporary clarity, only to fall back into his old habits. He also mentions that the shots of other people in the video are representative of the feelings you have when you are with someone you love

The official video for "My Sacrifice" on YouTube is the bands second most viewed video on the website, after "One Last Breath", with over 200 million views.

Yeah, I remember this song. A big hit. I was a avid Music channels watcher as a Teenager. Takes me back to those days. Better days. Things were just so much better in the past. But nothing stays the same.

Still holds up. Still just as good. Very powerful. And as true a message, as true as it was back then.
