What song are you listening to right now?

Btw i am now shipping these two musicians even though i am not familiar with Henry Rollins thanks to you

Henry Rollins is a interesting guy. He grew up IN washington D.C. was supposed to be navel cadet or something, abusive mother & father, psychotic friends. A warped childhood, he took to lifting weights and gained a lot of confidence. The school of whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. In the 70's jumped on the Punk rock bandwagon. A very masculine minded deeply disturbed individual. In the 80's he channeled his anger into poetry and standup monologues. Cynical and dark, psychological commentary and observational humour on human nature and society. Needless to say, I like him. Identify with his point of view a lot.

Kate Bush, I don't know AS MUCH about her, as I do Henry, she's very precocious musically, intellectually wise beyond her years, her music is very spiritual and emotionally raw. She is just as daring and uncompromising fearless in a way parallel to Henry Rollins, but from a more natural feminine point of reference. I like her too.

Interesting stuff. There are so many musicians i am interested in too, and trivia about them. Will post some when i get home.

I have said that for some time, building your body also builds your mind.
True. It's not just discipline. It's the physical changes that come with being in shape, definitely boosts mental power. I'm pretty sharp as is. But I am more coherent and eloquent and faster at processing things, if I'm lifting weights and exercising, "clean" eating, intermittent fasting. I'm also more confident, and social. Physical strength is definitely tied to mental strength. Resilient body = resilient mind.

Rollins Band - What Have I Got?

Prince & The Revolution - Kiss
From extreme femininity to extreme masculinity to extreme androgyny....My taste is just all over the place...

Listening to a song about two deceased rats and got this...
MJ - Human Nature
Thriller was recorded at Sunset sound records I think, in 1981...Quincy made a lot of money.
Pretty strong album. I think nearly every song was a Hit.

I love Kate Bush. She’s the eighth wonder of the whirrled, as far as I’m concerned.
That's good to hear. I dont' know how anybody could be Holding Animosity Treacherous Energy towards sweet darling Kate. I love Bush too.

Alliyah is cool too. I don't like too many female singers. But she is def one I like. Mainly her on those Timbaland beats.

I can’t imagine anyone disliking Katie either. We’ve all got our tastes, though, I reckon. Some people like strawberries, some don’t.

I’ve always liked Michael Jackson! “Human Nature” is lovely.

I think it was one of the last song to make the album. There's a demo version that was given to him. I think he just basically copied it. A common practice.

Yeah This is it:

:grinning: I mean, He obviously got permission. You can't rip of these guys off; "TOTO" already established, be a lawsuit. Common practice in music industry. I don't know how many Songs MJ wrote, or even if he a wrote a single one.

But he clearly smooshed Toto underfoot and claimed their song as his own. Totally common practice, as you say. Nevertheless odd and borderline unethical.

Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. They wrote most of Elvis early Hits. Apparently it was a home demo, from one member of TOTO, not the band. According to Youtube comments.

He might have been shopping it around, or maybe Michael liked it so much, he did a version and rushed it out. I don't know. Kinda like "China Girl" with Bowie and Iggy, But they worked together on that... Very common for artists to cover other artists, Even BEFORE a song is ever released.

So we’re mostly being deceived. Best to know which artists are actually artists and which are merely performers. That matters to me.
