I feel like getting enchiladas and a virgin margarita tomorrow night. Who wishes to join me on my adventure to a decent Mexican joint? Tequila is optional but I won’t be having any.

Alright, sounds guacamole to me. And plenty of salsa please.

Nice. I enjoy making enchiladas at home. The grocery store tortillas were too fragile so I get mine from Mi Rancho. I also preserve my own Salsa Verde for them made with Tomatillos I grow. But, my favorite is a nice Chile Relleno. Were I nearby, I'd join you.
Thinking of changing my avatar but also I don't wanna do it today because...like...well look at my current avatar, look at what day it is today. Yeah would feel wrong to do it today.
I made it back to my parents! And my mother got paid!! It's a Christmas Miracle indeed!! I have officially been successful in transporting from Holiday Inn Express to the VERY nice and luxurious TownPlace Suites. Wowie Zowie, what a magnificent hotel.

I am glad that all of you have a place to spend Christmas out of the weather.
An aspect of this site that is challenging is the number of sections. There are 26 of them within the forums.
Well... I did it! Everything done and prepared for Christmas before 11pm! That has to be something of a record! Time for a long bath I think! :-)
I had my first clash with a co-worker today. I thought about it for a while and realised it is beneath me and a waste of my time caring for the opinion of an undisciplined, late 40s, minimum wage worker. Who even has the energy to get frustrated during some minimum wage random job?

I'm not pretentious. By beneath me, I just mean someone who I don't and can't respect. If you get frustrated over terribly minor things and then can't control how you are around others, you are lost and insecure. Healthy people do not act this way.

I had the same thing
I just know that I am gonna have a meltdown if I go to this stupid Christmas party tonight. It's complete bull that my uncle had to die close to Christmas.
Tonight, I will watch Die Hard by myself.

Best way to watch it 😁

If I flick through the tv channels here now, Die Hard is on at least three of them. It's definitely Christmas. :) 🎄

Die Hard is my favourite Ironic Christmas Movie lol! I will probably watch it tonight too since I'm finished my Christmas chores for today! 😸
I am battling my psychosis today. Christmas isn't a horrible day of the year for me per-se. But my psychological hangups do make Christmas hard to celebrate.

Though this year. It's a trail by fire. I want to make this Christmas about just that. Not my problems. Christ was born today.
Christmas feels odd this year. Everyone seems miserable on Christmas eve. Must be because I've transitioned more deeply into the adult world?
I'm (once again) going to tackle my fear of driving. I'll have driving lessons with a teacher who knows that I have a license but am a scared driver. Wish me luck! One day, I'll manage to overcome this fear.

Good luck! Keep a level head and take deep breaths. You can do this~
Gonna cook a beef roast ("tri tip" as this cut is called in the US) for Christmas tomorrow. Turkey is generally only available around here for Thanksgiving.

That sounds good. Ham is also a common Christmas tradition food. Not sure how common it is now-a-days, though.

Few people eat bone-in ham here for any holiday anymore. There was a company called Honeybaked that sold cooked hams for the holidays, but they went out of business years ago. Bone-in ham is so difficult to cook that few bother. Certain ethnicities who eat pig on holidays tend to opt for pork roasts now.
Today is going to be busy, I need to get a lot done with not much margin for error. Turkey is defrosting, cake needs frosting, things need to be wrapped, rooms need cleaning and if I get the chance, bake some fat rascal cakes! 🙃
