When contributing to certain "fun" threads, I do a search in order to ascertain that my entry hasn't been used yet. Without that challenge, I don't see the enjoyment of the exercise. I know that I've mentioned this point before (two months ago), but I wanted to say it again, so I am.
The Sims is 25 years old today. Happy Birthday to one of the greatest games ever made!

I liked Maxis' software products a whole lot more when they didn't sell out to EA. Their whole operation used to be just a town away from me when I lived in the Diablo Valley part of the Bay Area.

I loved just making the homes themselves.

Thank you Sims, my ND tween just loved Sims. She would tell me that the lady Sims. baked something, the oven caught fire and burned the house down, it was hilarious.
I like dogs, but I shouldn't have to clean up the "items" it leaves around (the dog in question belongs to somebody else; I wish I knew who).

You could always put a sign that tells people to clean up after their dog and that they are on camera... I live in a big city where there are fines for not cleaning up after dogs and see signs everywhere. They seem to help

As a dog owner, it feels so wrong to leave poop in plain sight in public spaces.

When I go to popular dog places and see people do that, I have extra poop bags to give out and say, “Oh, it looks like you need a bag. Here, I have an extra one.”
Waiting on a hospital bed for MRI results. I hated the MRI experience.

I can relate. I went through a long period as an adult when I couldn't even bring myself to be anywhere near a hospital.Until my mother's health began to decline. When the hospital staff went on a first name basis with my mother. Which wasn't always as cordial as it sounded.

My first (conscious) MRI was horrible. Having to stay still in a confined space isn't fun 😕 I hope you are feeling better now it's over 🤗

I always put on the earphones with some good music playing while I'm in the tube and I don't open my eyes because I'd immediately feel claustrophobic. The machine thumping drives me crazy.
View from my front door on 3 February around 7:30am.About 2.5 inches (6cm) of snow overnight, and still falling.

@Judge I am located around 2800 foot elevation. Snow levels are always lower here. Also, it tends not to rain too much in a desert.

@Outdated: Yep, the north and south hemispheres are weather opposites.

Yes, I noticed that on the latest weather maps...so much more snow and at lower elevations. Kinda freaky. Yet here we are still having only rain, but very high winds in select areas. Not expecting much snow at the valley level, but a lot above 8000 feet. We sure need that snow and rain though.
A cruel but true fact: nobody likes Chinese men. Not even Chinese women likes Chinese men, or else they be marrying within instead
It’s hard to be yourself and authentic when the world consistently promotes materialism as well as vanity

As a person who is in his 20s, it’s hard to be humble and focused on one thing when everybody around you constantly wants to brag and promote themselves to the point of narcissism
Pain is starting to shoot up my left forearm from where I had a bug bite a few weeks ago. It is not getting better. Do I need to head to the ER tonight?

Nice! I stole it from some other website because I couldn't stop staring at it. I've got no mechanical skill at all, but I would love to figure out how to make this in real life. Someday...when I have time and energy that I don't have now...

This one, too. I could stare at it for hours and I want one in real life.
I got a new tablet and stylus for Christmas. I'm finding my way with it using Medibang to draw. I have been drawing a picture of my cat. I think it's been going quite well. I haven't finished the background, but I'm quite pleased with how he looks. Miss him so much.

Pencil and paper are still nice too.

I have bought some small sketch books so I can also get used to "analogue" drawing again. After a very unpleasant experience with an art teacher when I was younger, I didn't draw anything at all for 20 years or so. Drawing on a tablet kinda got me interested again so hopefully I will get back into the habit again :-)

@Judge A stylus definitely feels more natural but it also kinda takes a bit of getting used to. Some don't provide "palm rejection" so you can't rest your hand like you can when drawing on paper. You also may not have features like "tilting" and "pressure sensitivity". You can get some pretty good USB drawing tablets quite cheap though so might be worth a try :-)
