    Watching Star Wars while it’s 1:16 on a Sunday morning. Soundproofed house means I can blast it through my speakers without disturbing any neighbors.

    That's pretty amazing! We live in a big old Victorian house so the walls are quite solid and sound insulating, but I still feel nervous about turning my Hi Fi up loud! :oops: There's nothing quite like listening to a good set of speakers in their power band!

    "Soundproof" as in old, solid masonry construction? Unusual if the case. Everything here is wood frame construction with masonry veneer at best. But then there's a reason for it all...

    Is anybody else here addicted to hitting “refresh” on Internet forums or am I the biggest loser here? I need to learn to stop doing that.

    I go through phases of refreshing the page maybe after a few minutes or so. I do it to see if someone has started a new thread or maybe replied. I don't think it makes you a loser, it's nice here so who could blame you for keeping up with things people are posting :-)

    Oh, just tea bags and water, I steep it in the fridge for 18 hours, remove the tea bags and enjoy.

    Mostly real outdoor walking. I am going to walk home from the local train station instead of from the closest bus stop to my house, and I am also going to walk downtown after work instead of catching that bus.

    I've done the angry, self loathing exercise thing to try to undo my self sabotaging eating and got an injury 🤕 I hope this doesn't come across as patronising, just feel it's my duty to say.

    I was surprised how the Academy snubbed Barbie. I thought it was the cleverest film of the year, Poor Things, notwithstanding. Plus, it was a fun viewing and amazing set design. There must have been a shortage of Pink paint when the studio was working on Barbie.

    You must have seen the watered-down version. Oh well....lol. Seriously though, for what it is I thought it was far too long a movie. "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still" presented a similar message in half the time years ago. :rolleyes:

    Volunteering gave me a feeling of being needed

    Scheduling a two week vacation to visit friends in late Aug/early Sep. This will include a visit to Mackinac Island to hike all of the trails. Two week relaxation and recreation, it will be great.

    For me it's the taste (of coke) that's addictive, not the caffeine. Unless it's the caffeine that gives coke that flavour, I could easily be addicted to drinking coke without the caffeine.

    Slowing down a caffeine intake can be beneficial but a less harmful way is that Mio water enhancer and similar products which are a low sugar option.

    Having a 4K movie marathon tonight. I started with Heavy Metal, continued with Requiem for a Dream, and now I am starting Aliens.
