  • A cow stepped on one of my solar panels last night. Fortunately it was just one panel. That rancher was right, I will have to put up chicken wire to keep the cows from wrecking everything.

I almost hit a horse up near the Copco Lake dam removal zone today. He retaliated by kicking my car and ripping off the gas cap access door (and the bracket holding it on) as well as the cap itself. Medford Hyundai wanted $250+ to fix it, so I went to Baxter Auto Parts and bought a locking gas cap for $24.

The horse got his revenge. Sorry to hear that happened to you but I am glad that was the only damage done all things considered.
My life will change around 4 July (US Independence Day) when I get my permanent denture plates and can chew again. No more having to gum soft food out of cans.
My mouth has stopped bleeding and aching. I decided to sleep last night without dentures in so my upper mouth could heal.
is getting used to having ill fitting plastic teeth where the bottom plate pops up all the time. Can't use adhesive til the weekend.

The guy who was chewing gum on the advise of his dentist
was in his 30s. It was supposed to toughen and heal the gum
tissue. The guy was doing it, but said he felt like raw meat.
    Pretty sore, tender.

My dentist told me to leave the dentures in for 48-72 hours straight so the gum tissue could mold to the inside of the denture plates correctly.

Hope these work out for you. I know 3 people
with dentures. Don't settle for "well I'll wear them
when I have to, but they sort of gag me."
Today is the day I get the rest of my teeth ripped out. I will be using temporary plastic dentures for the next year or so.

I'm sorry :( I have really bad teeth as well. I hope the dentures aren't uncomfortable, at least.

Do dentists still recommend chewing bubble gum during the
healing process? I knew a guy who was doing that, chewing
bubble gum every day, on the premise that it was good for
    his gums.
The oral surgeon is on vacation til 31 July. My final dental surgery is 2 August. I am stuck in Sacramento for another month. Bummer.
I have to stay in Sacramento another week, bc the dentist had to move one of my appts back a week unexpectedly. Bummer.
Dreading tonight when the immigrant "adopted Americans" in the neighborhood light off gigantic, iilegal, exploding fireworks.

BOOM BOOM BOOM loud enough to rattle windows, well into the night. Sacramento has a serious problem with dogs that run and run to escape the booms, then are picked up as strays on July 5.

I am constantly amazed that they're not picking up bodies of veterans who have killed themselves as a result of PTSD flashbacks for weeks afterwards.

Wish I was in Jefferson where this sort of thing is flat out illegal, and the cops will happily haul violators to jail, not that there are many bc nobody wants to start a wildfire. Around here the cops are limited to busting the dealers, and only get a few, because of the insane demand and use of BOOMing fireworks.
Recent events have young women taking personal vows of celibacy. Maybe they'll realize that "hookup culture" is not so great.

That's when you have to be realistic that finding a divorced woman with children is much more likely. That the older we get as single males, the less picky we can afford to be. But then the demographics of your country are different than ours.

Things have changed a lot here. And It's just a small country with more men than women. And it's modern for women to be alone and do everything alone. It's just more difficult than it used to be.

Yeah. Much smaller populations can occasionally make for any number of social trends to move faster in either direction. In comparison, here we have so much diversity combined with a large population that things don't trend "on a dime".

Plus a sizeable population of reactionaries who fundamentally resist progressive change. Now being enabled through our highest court.
I am in Sacramento for a month for dental surgery and to be fitted for dentures. Once I go back home I will try to get regular internet.

All the best with your dental surgery.
@UberScout: I don't think that this Delta 8 THC and whatever else you're on is helping. You seem to take a flying leap into... (cont)

I'm sorry, I know that your life sucks and you have no way out. I didn't intend to attack you or anything. I just said that you seem to be using D8 as a crutch to cope, and using drugs as a coping mechanism is always a dangerous road to go down.
is rationing my food and gasoline use to deal with wartime shortages and to support Ukraine.
My seed potatoes will arrive early next week. Heirloom Red Pontiacs like grandpa grew.

These potatoes will be planted at my land up north, where it does get pretty cold. But I remember that grandpa preferred red pontiac potatoes because of how hardy they are. They can handle a lot, according to him. He died in 2009 so all I have to go by is my memories of being a kid and him teaching me how to grow a garden.

Red potatoes also taste so amazing! :) I'll have to look into if there's any more frost-resistant varieties as I'd sure like to grow another lot right now... it's great you had people growing things in your family. I was inspired by neighbours when I was a child, who grew things.

My car needs 4 new tires. Buying them now before the wartime oil shortage makes new tires impossible to find.
