  • I feel bad for the people who have to pay for insulin (it's not cheap).

Here the government subsidises a lot of those sorts of medicines through what they call the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. That's not some sort of scheme people have to sign up to, some medicines are just flat out subsidised for everyone. Although still an expense over time Aussies pay Au$31.60 for a pack of 5 insulin pens.
Ever had a neighbor's dog just adore you (to the point they follow you home sometimes)?

Yes, there was a little guy that used to go for 3 mile walks with me.
I don't know that he adored me. I thought he was just a friendly
little guy. And a little lonely. His people were gone all day generally.
Ever had the habit of correcting someone's grammar and pronunciation (and getting admonished for it in my case)?

I remember a user on another forum always had good spelling in his posts but for some reason he could never spell "nervous" and kept spelling it as "nurvous". And he kept using the word a lot too. It was driving me mad. I think if you're good at spelling then you notice mistakes more and can have an OCD-like reaction to it.

Ever had those moments where you thought you lost something, but it just happened to be in your hand?

Yes, nowadays whenever I'm looking for something small I always check my hands first so that I don't make that same mistake, even if I'm not holding anything

Being a night owl does sometimes come with the cost of everyone thinking you're lazy in the morning.

Absolutely! That annoys me. Somehow, being up early equals to being productive to most people. As if you couldn't be productive late at night too.
I wonder what's it like to be born on a holiday (mine is just right next to one).

My birthday was always in the school holidays. As a child I had birthday get togethers party’s outside the holidays.

I went out with a lady who was born on the 25th of December. She said they always celebrated her birthday on the 26th and she always felt like she'd been ripped off as a kid, like she didn't really have a birthday. And just to rub it in her mother named her Carol.
Some people like sleeping with socks on, but I'm like the complete opposite (I do like dark colored comforters over light colored ones).

I always sleep with socks on.
And, I don't like my feet to be tucked under the comforter.
Ever had this thing where it takes you a while before you're comfortable sharing words with a person you just met?
    Xinyta

Yeah. I have that with most every stranger. I typically have little to say. Though there are some rare instances where I have little trouble. But someone I know, who know the stranger, has to be with me, for that to happen.
Ever get annoyed when the people living with you always leave a mess, because they know you'll clean it up?
    Xinyta
    Xinyta
I've had to do that for a time. When I lived on my own, with a roommate. He did nothing, no matter how many times I asked.

I think there were other sparce instances before that too. It is  very annoying.

I get annoyed when the cats flip over stuff and dump it out.
    A. because of the mess
    B. because I didn't have the stuff arranged so that wouldn't happen

Not always appreciating them pointing out that I could have secured the
stuff better. Not appreciating the resulting *opportunity.*
Ever show affection in an unconventional way?
    tree

That doesn't seem like a question I can answer.
First I'd have to have a list of what the "conventional" ways are.

Conversely would that deemed "unconventional" be a synonym for that which might be some violation of law?

Like most of my peers in high school, we always got a chuckle out of school rules and regulations where "public displays of affection" were usually towards the top of the list.
I know Cupid is the symbol of love, but all I could think about is how messed up Cupid is from the myths (plus, he was called Eros to the Greeks).

All of the Greco-Roman "deities" are messed up...
Well, my allergies impaired my voice; I hate when that happens (along with a somewhat impaired sense of smell).
