A-Z Places

Qingdao, China

A coastal city in eastern China, Qingdao is best known for its Tsingtao Brewery, the first brewery in China. Founded in 1903 by German settlers, Qingdao has a long history of German influence.

I would like to show this to my daughter. She's such a fan of snakes. Special interest.

Has @Catherine Read seen this?
I didn't seen this, interesting, thanks for the tag. Did I read right, they give them milk? That's a recipe for horrible tummy trouble. An interesting place but the practices towards the snakes seem questionable.

I was told they were fed milk. They’ve been there for quite a long time. There were some pictures on the wall:

Tecate, California USA/ Baja California MX

A high desert border town that I have spent a lot of time in. I have a love affair with Tecate. It visits me in dreams several times a year.

Unter den Linden, Berlin

IMG_2213.jpeg

This is the view from the Berliner Fernsehturm. Unter den Linden is the leafy street centre shot running diagonally away. The Brandenburger Tor can be seen at the far end and the Tiergarten (park) beyond. The dome in the foreground is Berliner Dom. (The big black block is the international trade centre.)

All I can do for “X” is post more pictures of Xi’an.

Something weird happened with my camera this day and all the shots of the wall of the old city were very washed out, so this picture has been heavily edited to make it more visually “interesting”.

Cedarville, California-

The largest of four very small towns in the Surprise Valley. Near the junction of Nevada and Oregon.

Detroit, Michigan

The Lions will host the Bears tomorrow at Ford Field, continuing a Thanksgiving tradition that is now eight decades old.
