Last thing you ate

This is about supper.
Because recently I was trying to think what foods I like, because someone asked,
I fixed an onion for supper.
It seemed like it could be a mistake, but I thought I could get it to work.
I used nutritional yeast and buckwheat flour.
It was good.
I did the next night, too.
That was good.
But I think it is still true, that even though I like it,
I shouldn't do it.
Too hard to separate what I am thinking/feeling from how food is making me feel.

A prawn wrapped in applewood bacon, roasted and finished with housemade BBQ sauce. So good I didn't eat anything else to avoid spoiling the aftertaste.

Chia and flax seed pudding-thingy. I mixed chia seeds, flax seeds, coconut milk, sugar-free syrup (Safeway brand, tastes sorta like caramel) with little bit of vanilla and salt. Let it sit for 5 to 6 hours. High in fiber and yet so yummy.

Are those whole seeds?
Or ground?

Corn chips, coconut almond milk, peanut butter with some carob chips.
The co-op has unsweetened carob chips. I don't torture myself with the sweetened ones.

Whole seeds. I don't have anything to ground them with or know where to purchase them. So, I just let them sit in the fridge for a hours to a day to let them gel as much as possible.
OK.
I use a blender to grind up flax seeds.
Never tried to whir up chia seeds that way.

Lentil salad with cucumber, tomato, avocado, onion, garlic, parsley & balsamic dressing and - a rack of ribs from the bbq :)

The great thing about chia seeds is their nutrients are released without the need for being ground up like with flax seeds.
I like to put them in a glass of water and add a splash of unsweetened black current juice. In 10 oz of water 1 Tbsp dry chia seeds will get jelled in 15 minutes. Chia Fresca is the same thing but with lime juice. The ultra long distance runners in the mountains of Mexico use it. (Tarahumara)

Maybe I should get some chia seeds.
I haven't seen any for a long time &
last time we had any, we didn't know
any good things to do with them.

When I first got flax seeds, I wanted to
sprout them. That didn't work out.
They just went all....frog eggy....

I did a little research but mainly my liking for chia fresca came after a short stint helping at an orphanage in Mexico a very long time ago.
Then more recently I was reminded of them while reading the excellent book, Born To Run.
Here is a little info. blurb on chia.
Chia for Health - Dr. Weil

Country eggs Benedict. that's a biscuit with an over easy egg and, a patty of maple sausage on it, then covered in white gravy that has lots of black pepper in it. Coffee and, half of a grapefruit.
