I never do anything so rash. See a concert overseas, buy tickets, reserve hotel, haven't quite got the flight taken care of. Did that all in a few minutes. Scary. I felt like I was jumping off one of those ski jumps.
I don't speak Swiss German, or even German. I never go somewhere I don't know the language.
So, assuming I do something in Switzerland besides the concert, do you have any recommendations? I do want to try to be in the French speaking part of the country. The last time I was in Switzerland was 50 years ago?!
I'd laugh a lot more if I saw that loose light get under the back tire and strip the car.I hope this makes you laugh.
I noticed that too. Not sure I would laugh about it though. Might cause trouble for other drivers.I'd laugh a lot more if I saw that loose light get under the back tire and strip the car.
There is now an ear piece one can wear that will listen to what others are saying in any of 70 foreign languages and translate it auditorially into your ear.I travel in countries where I can't speak the local language. Look for school age children if you need an interpreter. They usually study English in school and like to practice English with visitors. This has helped me numerous times in Greece and even in Turkey. I also have a language app on my cell phone that translates English to the foreign language and vice versa. That comes in handy, too.
Just because I laugh at an accident does not mean I won't rush over to help next.I noticed that too. Not sure I would laugh about it though. Might cause trouble for other drivers.
Sorry. I didn't mean that to be insulting. It's a problem I have with all slap-stick type humor ever since I was a small child. Could not stand Three Stoges for example.Just because I laugh at an accident does not mean I won't rush over to help next.
The good news is that it looks like I can go canoeing there.
