I was in Hanoi as the cyclone approached home. It had been downgraded from a category 2 to an ex-tropical cyclone by the time it made landfall. The two of my children still living at home had made preparations but reported it was just like a severe thunderstorm. No significant damage when we got home - a branch had fallen off one of our trees and got hung up on the internet coax cable, but no interruption to service. Large parts of the surrounding suburbs lost power but we didn’t. We’re on a hillside, so no risk of flooding. Schools are reopening tomorrow. For some reason Meta has been doing it's best to block all information on it, none of us can understand why.

Pi Day only exists in the US because of the way they write the date with the month first and the day second. Elsewhere in the world that doesn't work, 3/14 can't exist because there's only 12 months in a year and 31/4 can't exist because there's only 30 days in April.
On my bike tour, I'd buy 1/4 pound sticks of butter and put them in a re-usable rig resembling a toothpaste tube with a clip on the wide end. I carried my peanut butter in another one. It was very convenient to just squeeze them out onto bread.
