For some reason Meta has been doing it's best to block all information on it, none of us can understand why.
Facebook denies intentionally blocking searches for Cyclone Alfred

I live more than 2000 Km away so no personal danger, it is one of the most densely populated areas of the country though.
I was in Hanoi as the cyclone approached home. It had been downgraded from a category 2 to an ex-tropical cyclone by the time it made landfall. The two of my children still living at home had made preparations but reported it was just like a severe thunderstorm. No significant damage when we got home - a branch had fallen off one of our trees and got hung up on the internet coax cable, but no interruption to service. Large parts of the surrounding suburbs lost power but we didn’t. We’re on a hillside, so no risk of flooding. Schools are reopening tomorrow.
