Post something Weird or Random

They don't charge. The mall is its own entity, not selling anything. The mall space may open before any stores do, because it's common for people to walk malls for exercise, before they get too many shoppers.
Ok, it did sound rather an extreme element of capitalism! 😄
I know America has something I guess may be called Mall-culture (not malculture!!!! 😁😉) so the idea they'd start charging entry to go shopping isn't so far fetched from my provincial little side of the world!

Another word that confuses Americans when they come here for a holiday, the word Mall has a specific meaning here. It's a street that has been closed off to all except pedestrian traffic. Each of our major cities has at least one mall. If you're looking for a shopping centre don't ask for directions to a mall.

Disney Springs is full of retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters, rides. One has to specify the absence of fees for entrance and parking, because everything with the Disney name costs $$$.

This is a car that is also a boat.

Learning that there's a hill/fell in the English Lake District known as "Great Cockup"

A 1996 episode of It'll Be Alright On The Night (an outtake show presented at the time by the late Dennis Norden) was filmed in the area (since "Cockup" is another word for "Blunder"), with Dennis making the following joke about the area while sat on top of the hill/fell:

"The name was given to it by the Vikings when their first longboat landed here in the 9th Century because...well, when your longboat lands on top of a hill, what else can you call that?"
