Riddles

Explanations

Line one - "Forward I go; backwards I do the same." @AuAL was correct. It is a palindrome. Hence the hint to write it . A racecar still reads racecar whether read forward or backwards. I would also assume that the car itself could go forwards or backwards (if put in reverse) ?
Line two- "Some I destroy; Some I bring to fame." People have died drivng a racecar. Hence they were destroyed. People have gained fame by driving a racecar as well.
Line three - "Round and round is the purpose of why I came." To go "round and round " the track is the purpose of why the racecar came.
Racecar would have been my first guess, but as Racecar was an answer in another riddle, with a few somewhat similar ideas, tips or clues used, I immediately discounted it. I should have learned elsewhere from prior riddles that the answer can repeat, but with just an added twist or two..

But if they have everything, then they'll already have all knowledge. Surely by definition, the only thing they won't have is nothing? 😏

BTW, you may want to read @FayetheAspie's post #2021, being the OP here and defined the rules of this game. All are welcome here but we need to try and keep to the rules or we end up with confusion as to which riddle is in play.
Oh, dear me, I seem to have committed the w h o o p s i e d o o d l e s

That's permitted on this site, if not mandatory! 😁 (a qualification for membership here!).

I always miss these cryptic type clues! I hated them in crosswords, all they did was produce from me cross words!
I always kick myself afterwards for not realising it wasn't literal!

As far as I know, no race cars have reverse gears (other than maybe production car racing and off-road vehicles), and also the "forwards / backwards" bit kinda gave me the impression they were equal (see line 2 above), but a race car only wins or loses by going forwards.
Another even more important factor though - there are pedants like me around here who don't know when to keep their (my) gob shut! 😊

Actually, thinking about it, breaking conventions (rules) that are unspoken but assumed by most of us, makes for a new method of mental torture, er, I mean intellectual interest! 🙂🙃

Several lines of mine may go from side to side while only two or four go up and down.
I may but short or tall but often handy to have around.
What am I ?

Sorry, I'm not sure I can adequately explain, probably cultural differences. Just some of the phrases - "several lines" - multiple drinks, "going up or down" drinking and vomiting, "side to side" - effects of alcohol, "short or tall" - types of alcoholic drinks, "handy to have around" - no explanation needed for anyone into their booze.
I think this says more about me than you! 😳😱

Notebook paper was not the answer but I can see how it would be a suitable answer as well.🤔

@Boogs, I saw the “up and down” and “side to side” as the movements of a cocktail shaker producing “short or tall” cocktails, so there was another view by which your guess may have been validated. But it was wrong. :(

To be honest I was just joking, didn't seriously think that was the answer, it was a gut reaction without much thought as many of the terms just seemed to fit so well with past memories of drunken outings, and the culture over here at the time. It probably doesn't come across very well in how it meant to me, but I didn't stop to actually think about it! Engage mouth first, brain second! 😊

BTW, a short over here is a single or double spirit with nothing in, a tall is more like a proper cocktail.

I would classify a martini as a “short” cocktail, so perhaps my definition depends more on the glass.
