Riddles

Next riddle:

There is a large windowless 18 foot by 18 foot haunted carpeted room

with locked steel door, mirrored four walls and ceiling, with a small amount of smoke coming from thee.

As a 6 foot tall man stands in the far left corner facing the room's middle a scary voice says you will will live today or face doom.

If you retrieve within 10 minutes the $100 bill that is visible on the floor, located on the carpet's center, I then will set you free.

Otherwise, the man was told he would perish soon thereafter from the smoke, or if he were to move even one step forward, sideways or diagonal on the carpet towards the center.

He could use anything in the room to assist him, including also the items left next to him to use if needed to retrieve the bill:

A standard size fishing pole that had no string or hook, one small children's shovel, one small roll of scotch tape, and one small trampoline in the opposite far corner.

So see if you can solve this riddle that the man was able to solve to give him much relief and a thrill.

"Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" as the quote goes. (my little joke, nothing personal! 🙂)
Ok, looooads of red herrings swimming in this room I think, I'm guessing obfuscation's the game, so lets probe a little...

The length of a standard rod varies according to what it's for, which makes me think it's irrelevant, but lets try; he picks up tape and rod and attaches wodge of tape on end of the rod, holds rod from other end, lies down with feet still in corner, pointing body toward centre, reaches out with stretched arms and uses rod to stick wodge of tape to note which is now within reach (rod > 6' + man = 6' + arms = 1' to 2') dist about 13'+, distance from corner to centre about 12.7'.
He then retrieves note, only to find it's monopoly money, and he dies of smoke inhalation shortly after?

So, what are you saying, this riddle seems to have a lot of clues that are just a bunch of smoke and mirrors? :) ...Creative answer you gave, and maybe it could work if he did this right within the first few times, but no, it did not work as his feet moved slightly forward when he lied/layed down.

He taped the fishing pole to the shovel to make a longer item with which to reach the bill and placed tape on the end so the bill would stick to it then he simply pulled it to himself.

Assume it was just inches out of reach or kept falling apart, or assume it took several attempts which lasted over ten minutes and he had no energy left because of the smoke.

The carpet is not attached so he pulls it towards himself a few inches and then can reach it?

I will give @FayetheAspie the win as I was not specific about how big the carpet was, and if attached or not. The specific answer I was looking for (though Faye's answer could solve it) was the guy lifted one foot up, reached back and pulled up the carpet corner, stepped back putting both feet under it and slowly rolled it up in front of him until he reached the center, walking towards the $100.

You may say his feet move, I say they don't! At least not by a step! 😄

I swim and I fly.
Six stylets have I.
What am I ?

Next riddle:

There once lived a cool cat above the alley.
that loved taking daily a food tally.
"A turkey on day one, that is so neat,"
the next morn, "a wild one, day two, that is so sweet."
The next afternoon, "a ham-turkey dinner, so yummy"
And jotting down the best for last, a golden bird, I now see.

What is it?

Tip #1:

Although the final Clue in the riddle may involve a bird, that answer is not needed to solve the riddle as the main answer to the whole riddle is not bird or animal themed.
