Doggy, husky, or wolfie, what is it refers to clues in the whole riddle that will point to one answer thing, not that last part about a golden type of bird. Maybe you just swallowed the golden bird, that is why you look so lost.
No. The answer I am looking for has nothing to do with food or eating, but those terms and bird terms in the riddle are important for the answer, as is another word in the riddle.Food?
Eating?
Is it Tally McNally the Cat keeping math fun? I know that is the wrong answer and I am all out of guess. And somehow random searches of parts of your riddle led me to this kids book.Next riddle:
There once lived a cool cat above the alley.
that loved taking daily a food tally.
"A turkey on day one, that is so neat,"
the next morn, "a wild one, day two, that is so sweet."
The next afternoon, "a ham-turkey dinner, so yummy"
And jotting down the best for last, a golden bird, I now see.
What is it?
No, but I like the fact you are thinking deeper and out of the box . My final Clue is this:Is it Tally McNally the Cat keeping math fun? I know that is the wrong answer and I am all out of guess. And somehow random searches of parts of your riddle led me to this kids book. View attachment 137429
That was a good one. I'll let you come up with the next. I had thought bowling from the beginning but then I got thrown by the clues and some of the guesses.@DrBadStrings. I am going to give you the win, as it was so close, being bowling related. The reason I will give the answer is because I do not think even most casual bowlers may know the "specific" answer from those clues..
Riddle explanation:
The cat was sitting above the bowling alley, not a city alley.
She was counting strikes.
It is called a turkey in bowling if one rolls three strikes in a row,
A ham bone if four in a row,
A wild turkey if six in a row,
A ham-turkey dinner (4+3) in a row,
And a golden turkey if nine strikes in a row.
I did not list them all.
So, an acceptable answer would have been bowling or strikes. I did not expect the answer golden turkey at the end of the riddle. The key words in the riddle were alley and tally. Bowling, and counting strikes in reference to, as most would not have picked up on the bird and food terms, in relation to bowling.
The goal is to knock them down every time. A strike is when you knock them all down, preferably in one shot. A perfect game is 300. And I am absolutely terrible at it. That is the sum total of my bowling knowledge.I would have never guessed. My knowledge of bowling is so limited that I don't even know for sure if the objective is to knock all the pegs down or to get the ball though without knocking any of them down.
A nun playing chess.New riddle:
I am mostly black and white,
have a beginning, middle and end
Sometimes on the attack, sometimes I will defend.
I can move at slow, moderate or rapid speed ,
I can trap you to finally concede.
What am I?
@DrBadStrings wins! The answer was chess. Black and white refers to the piece colors. The beginning, middle and end refers to the opening, middle game and end game strategies. I can trap you to concede means the checkmate.A nun playing chess.
