What is Your Pet Doing Right Now?

But as for the lady herself, I feel somewhat nauseous after finding the harvester she caught the other day - legs a wriggling at least until the next day. :grimacing:
They (harvesters) live on small insects, i.e. are carnivorous, so I suspect it had been lowering it's body into the trap, with legs outside the trap supporting it, trying to get to the previous victim of that particular set of leaves (you can just see the shadow of a small prev. meal, at the bottom of trap, probably unaware it had already been sucked dry.
Nature certainly is gloriously red in tooth and claw! But I never appreciated it was in leaf and stalk too! So obvious when you think on it though!

TW: Pet Loss

Our situation with Zwi has progressed much more rapidly than anyone could have seen. We were hoping to have him through the end of October. He doesn't have that much time left. Today I had to make a call that broke my heart. We are letting Zwi go in a few days...he's tired and you can tell he's ready to go.

On an out of left field curveball, we also got a message from a local, vetted breeder of Aussies. They have a male puppy ready to pickup. They gave me first dibs...

We seriously weren't looking into getting a puppy until next spring, but with facing the loss of Zwi much sooner than expected, taking the opportunity to get this puppy was the right choice.

We pick up Marlow Jones (Jonesy) on September 8th.

My pets are probably annoying each other per the usual. Big guy has a head like an engine block with fur on it, and he's a lovable dummy. Little one is the ultimate, snarky, floor sausage. They really do just irritate each other a lot, but then they zonk out together.
