Cars and car troubles

Mustang I concept shorty car

This concept car was built by Ford and abandoned by Lee Iacocca, stolen by the designer, then Ford's insurance paid it if...an insurance executive took possession of it afterwards and later it came back up for sale.

It was powered with a 260 V-8 and was shortened 18 inches

The Gardner Mustang will appear at Amelia Island as part of the concours’s What Were They Thinking? class, which annually highlights automotive history’s misfits and oddities.

My guess would be an illusion...the fit on the front window would have to match the rear glass

Probably the finest 56 Thunderbird I ever saw.....at the Barrett-Jackson Auction Reno 2013:

tempered glass window making was in the early stages and crazy shapes were not possible yet...the '63 Corvette split window coupe was made first because they could not make it yet, hence the rest of the lineup got a full window starting in '64

The Thunderchicken is a beauty...plus it is sell fast red...laughs

Too bad. This guy signing autographs got in front of my attempt to photograph the Chevy and T-Bird used in "American Graffiti". Oh well...

Barrett-Jackson is cool, but the best of the best makes the asking price of all the junk go up...it is sad that a once poor folks hobby has now become a circus for the rich..."I know it's a lot of money I'm asking, but I saw one of these go for $93,000,000 in Jackson,so mine is worth at least half that"...no it isn't ya fool...it's all rusted and worn out

Yep. A lot of overhead associated with Barrett-Jackson for $ure.

The '58 Chevy came with factory installed rust and was never popular, the '57 got all the glory and the money until the '58s started drying up...now try to find one cheap...no way...laughs

I have a NOS Rockwell stickered GM replacement R fender for a '58 Corvette for sale... plus a ton of rare hard parts and trim from '63-67...in the same pile is a front fill Quadra-jet iron intake that was only made in '68 and a low horsepower dual snorkel air conditioning air cleaner from '64...The 'vette pile must go away...make offers...laughs
