I agree wholeheartedly! Your intimate companion must never denigrate you. That does such damage to a person's self esteem. I have seen too many women who have felt used by men and I hate that. You do not need people in your life that make you feel negatively about yourself. There are accepting people in this world and you need to learn to identify them, and when you do connect, life will open up for you. I hurt myself terribly when I let others define my self worth, and you should not let that happen to you.
