Riddles

I watched Sesame Street for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Elmo is, by far, my favorite character.

I've never seen any of those shows. I have heard the name elmo and seen toys in stores before but didn't really know anything about the character. I'm not much into cartoons. I was a strange child who actually enjoyed watching science lectures. I can remember being really young possibly still a toddler and seeing a cartoon character walk straight up a wall. I was like "I didn't know that was something you could do. " I laid down with my feet against the wall and tried to walk up it. I quickly discovered that it was not possible. Also I never observed anything that looked like them walking around in real life. Believe me I kept an eye out for a time when little. I think sort of came to a conclusion of " What good are these? Their facts are off."😅

Well, I've glided in the air many times - in my dreams! It was a recurring one, returning every few months. Each time, I would think, "The previous times were in dreams, but now it's real."

And cartoon characters never seem to feel intense or lasting pain from huge accidents and violence shown, if any pain is shown from them at all, and they rarely die. I get it that producers do not want children to be scared seeing injuries, pain and death, but cartoons with bullets flying all around and at characters, characters falling from high cliffs or being squished like a pancake and then not only surviving but returning quickly back to normal, to name a few, that is not realistic, safe and healthy for children to see either.

In the. case of Elmo and Sesame Street, and shows like Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, that violence does not occur there, as they are more like real life stage set shows with real life persons in it besides the muppet characters, with the focus on learning from the humans in those shows, good character and more appropriate messages. Personally, I liked science type shows too, shows without muppet characters. Our children loved Popular Mechanics for Kids and Bill the Science guy. For cartoons it was Sid the Science Kid.

Is anyone posting a new riddle? It's still 1ForAll's turn seeing as how nobody guessed his last riddle. If there is no response, I'll post one in about half an hour I suppose.

Two of one + one of another am I
And without me you're sure to die.
What am I ?

Oh no, I'm not good at creating or solving them. With many, I don't stand a chance, because I've not been exposed to much of popular culture.
I don't think any of my answers have involved popular culture themes though I do make occasional batman vs riddler jokes while trying to get people to guess at times or while trying to guess.

Despite my name, I...
...was never a globe (but was split like one).
...am not insane.
...don't hurt anyone with my push (but I do just by being present).
I am famous for causing disagreements among my admirers.

This is a harder one so I will have to keep thinking, if not looking up synonyms of globe, insane etc. or similar sounding words as globe..

It's meant to be hard - really hard. It's my first riddle here, so I have to get you used to my thought processes.

Synonyms won't help you, @1ForAll.

Hmm, now we need clues. How about - Clue #1: The first four lines go together, combining to spell out my name, which is in three parts but only two words.

Clue #2: I am a food. (Cutesie was sitting in the kitchen, looking at me, when he created the riddle.)
