Robert Hight sneeze at the 2013 4 wides...his funnycar shed the body and it went into the stands...I heard someone say that the body only weighed 150 lbs.,but he neglected to say that it was already going about 200 miles per hour when the body left it

Rear window louvers. I sure miss them. Would love to have them on my Celica GTS....but alas, a legal no-no.
when I was younger,my state,Pennsylvania did not allow us to use tubular exhaust headers...I paid a lot of fines

that Sm would be very rare as I do not think there were a lot of modified ones. I think there was some Presidential cars that were lengthened. the normal one was 18 foot long 2+2 seater.

The French Heuliez Group did the targas...they were an old carriage builder who still does a lot of mods to euro cars

I think the did the initial work for the Gs hatch back .

Another company that did semi custom work was Chapron.
They made the DS Decap and presidential cars.

About a decade and a half ago I was closing up shop and saw the Don Garlits Museum of Dragracing trailer looking very lost. A buddy and I jumped into my truck and went on a rescue mission...as I drove up beside the rig,I asked the driver if he was lost...he replied yes and was looking for a place to park, eat and get a beer...I asked him if there was a Swamp Rat in the trailer...he replied yes...I asked which one...he said 4...I rattled off that that car was from the 1962 fuel ban year in NHRA...he said where can we get that beer...

Dodge 413 wedge running on alcohol...the cockpit view shows the proximity of your feet to the exposed driveline and in out box plus the pumpkin of the Olds rear differential next to your privates as you placed your legs over the axles...that is the trailer floor below...

We got to climb all over it and take some pics...Big Daddy is shown in it at a Cacklefest ...this car is a reproduction of the original car built to 1962 specs.by Don's shop...the original car got lost...

Don Garlits is one of my heros

Wally Parks, the founder of NHRA once told Bill France the founder of NASCAR that if you could still make a turn after going down the straightaway, you were not going fast enough...

In 1979 at Frazer's Sportscars Specialists located in Dover Delaware USA, I had a hand in the restoration of a Datsun 2000 like the one pictured here...Produced from March 1967 – 1970, the SR311 used a 2.0 L (1,982 cc) engine and offered a five-speed as the car before the 240Z was offered

The MGB basically had a tractor engine...this was powered by a pretty serious unit

yes,unfortunately...they were only coachbuilders and dug thru the bins to make cars...and then let Lucas destroy the electricals...kinda scary that Lucas now makes guidance systems for missiles

our vintage Limey bike events often have Lucas night runs...
