The mostly wonderfully cute new creature:

This is a sea slug. And even neater than cuteness, it contains algae, making it an animal that can photosynthesize!

From the Good News Network:

The tiny sea slug species Costasiella kuroshimae was first discovered only 30 years ago off the coast of a Japanese island.

A mollusk without a shell, it has two dark eyes and two sensing organs called ‘rhinophores’ that emerge from the top of its head and look like sheep’s ears—thus its apt nickname ‘leaf sheep’.

The slugs measure only about 1⁄4 to 3⁄8 inch in length (5-10 mm). They feed on algae which allows them to indirectly perform photosynthesis, one of the few animals that can derive energy much like a plant.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!
Oi! Oi! Oi!

It's a common call and refrain you'll hear from Aussies a lot, often screamed out at sporting events but also used when overseas to find other Aussies. Call out Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! anywhere in the world and if there's any Aussies within earshot they'll immediately respond with Oi! Oi! Oi!

These days very few of us remember where it comes from though. It's origins are in a hit song from one of Australia's most successful bands, from back in the day when they were uniquely Australian and the rest of the world had never heard of them. Only an Aussie would recognise the refrain.

One of my favorite bands Did not know about them until the 1980's, they define rock music. Much like Led Zeppelin.
The singer Bon Scott in the video above sadly died in 1980, drowned in his own vomit after a big night. Ironically it was only just a few weeks before that he had pointed out Brian Johnson and said "If ever anything happens to me sign him on.".

At that stage they already had a large following not just in Australia but also in Europe but they were largely unheard of in the US. It was an awkward time for the band and for fans as well and it was then that they moved to the US and evolved in to what everyone knows today. Angus was always Angus though. :)

I watched a few documentaries on the band, and u-tube videos on them, great dance music. The essence of rock and roll. Why the wife and I like them,

A couple of things to bounce off. Two older photos. Seem to worked out military attacks.
Used to get them enough. Police sent to mine under community treatment program or was that the ambulance there was both, one took over. Driven by local team for my co condition. Team wanted me in hospital by X time so can be checked out by duty doctor on arrival or shortly after and enough time for bloods for the night demands arrival. Me, not keen to go and tried to not go.
It is therefore a bundle job. You knock, I appear frozen you enter and come in and swopped into van clothes behind the door reason and whizzed to hospital. What do you say nothing. I got there. Job done.
Photo everything as you go on your way.

The other photo what can you say mugshot??? No, never just as straight as line. Unfortunetly locked out of my old instagram which I now downloaded and deleted, not for me. Instagram put me to all that pressure to show who I was. Life was a bit better different then.

Cinema might not be a bad thing tomorrow Moana 2.

I ate chicken phaal, an Indian dish a couple of nights ago. It was incredibly hot and my entire mouth felt the heat.

I seem to be building up a bit of a tolerance for spicy food. Years ago I would eat only plain food.

I seem to have a voice double. I got a phone call asking for Mike. "I'm sorry" I replied, "there's no Mike here."
A nasty female voice snarled back "Don't give me that, Frank!"

I have pretended to be my husband on phone calls where the other person insisted on talking to him. My voice is clearly feminine so when I say "yes, this is "Robert" (not hubby's real name), the caller always freezes and then proceeds with the conversation because what are they going to say? That "Robert" has a woman's voice?!:D

Norway won the European Biathlon Championship relay. In fact, the winner was so far ahead of everyone that he stopped to take a selfie with someone during the last lap. 😆 And a little further up the track he stopped to give someone a high five. That's some serious winning. When it comes to skiing, we're obnoxiously good.

You guys are born with skis on your feet! Gosh, I miss skiing. It's been years since I did it but I still have my old cross-country Asnes brand of skis, poles and boots. Just in case it snows in Mississippi (ha!) but I don't have any wax for the skis, of course.

@Forest Cat - Do people still use ski wax or do modern skis not require it? I once had a pair of NordicTrak skis that were like plastic fish scales on the bottom. I hated them and prefer good old wood skis.

Reminds me of being in the university dorm walking down the hall. One of our guys was in there waxing his skis, and setting the wax on fire. I just never saw anything like that....and he did it so skillfully. Such preparation looked like a lot of work though, but he seemed to think it was worth it.

Yes, several times during ski season, you need to heat up and remove the old wax so new wax appropriate for the type of snow you're in will adhere to the wood. What I basically remember is that I usually needed blue wax for snow conditions in the Rocky Mountains.
